I FREAKING LOVED THIS!!!!

I wanted to start reading Marauders fainfiction as it's a side of the Harry Potter fandom I never explored -only accidentally saw a couple of fanarts- and I can say this was the best way to start!! Definetly the strongest skill of this author is making characters believable; I genuinenly felt as if I was reading a canon Harry Potter book! I know I'm taking it as my personal canon.

Every character is so nuanced. I entered this fanfic being a heavy James hater, but each character's voice is so well constructed, and their thoughts and presonalities so inlined with previous canon knowledge of the characters, that I grew to tolerate him and even enjoy his "presence" in the story. Honestly I felt like I grew my likeness of him along Lily lol (But not to the same extent; I don't like him but I can see his value).

If you haven't already guessed, my favorite character was Lily. I fell in love with her fierce but compassionate personality. And, oh well, I saw myself in her. And I saw some parts of Harry too, I really had the feeling of "oh yeah, she IS his mom." Her main storyline is about her facing increasing discrimination due to being muggle-born as the war approaches. I really like how the signs of the war were really subtle but impactful.

But, nonetheless, there are things I didn't like. I know the author doesn't like Snape, and it was noticeable. He lacked the ammount of nuance other characters had and he should've had more "screen time" with Lily. Them being best friends, they shoudl've spent more time together, at least at the beginning when she wasn't isolating herself so much.

In conclusion, I really really liked this fanfic and I'm already starting book 2. The author is extremely skilled at building relationships and characters that feel real, which was my favorite part. I'm going to be recommending this to every person I know :)
